Breeding history
The long-awaited grapes appeared as a result of the work of amateur collector VN Kraynov. Having crossed two long-beloved varieties Talisman and Radiant Kishmish, it turned out a new early variety, which absorbed all the best characteristics of parental qualities.

Bush
The shrub is sprawling and high, it has a high growth rate, it grows quite quickly, regardless of how the grapes are planted: by grafting or using a root seedling. The bush can withstand 20-25 shoots, which is about 33 eyes with a total plant area of 5-6 square meters.
Bunches
The clusters of the Long-awaited grapes are cone-shaped and very large, on average from 550 g to 900 g, but they also meet up to 1.5 kg. Their density is defined as medium and friable. 
The variety is characterized by very large oval or elongated oval berries from 8 to 15 g. Juicy, fleshy berries have a pleasant taste, thin skin and a small amount of seeds.
If there are bones in the berries, they are very soft, isolated and subtle. Berries have a yellow-green shade. Brushes can stay on the bush for a long time. Also note that the grapes practically do not burst and are well stored.
Only heavy rains and subsequent excessive moisture can break their attractive appearance. Under optimal weather conditions, the berries are stored very well.
Important! Grapes Long-awaited has a high sugar content, up to 22%, and its acidity does not exceed 8 g / l.
Characteristics of a variety
The shrub begins to give birth within 3 years from the moment of planting, which makes it quite attractive to gardeners. But this is only one of his many positive qualities.
Yield
One of the main features of this grape variety is high yield. A good result is guaranteed from year to year, and stability can definitely be attributed to advantages. 
Gestation period
It's hard enough to believe in it, but the berries of the Long-awaited grapes ripen in 100-110 days. Already in early August, you can collect delicious, juicy berries.
Shrub refers to the early-bearing, which is somewhat contradictory compared with its name. It is assumed that the name comes from a long wait for a brilliant result during the breeder’s efforts.

Winter hardiness
The shrub tolerates winter well, the frosts down to -23 ° C are not at all terrible to it. This does not mean that the grapes do not need to be covered, just in the conditions of a snowy winter it needs to provide sufficiently light shelter, for example from agrofibre, and for young low bushes there will be enough land shelter. 
If abundant rainfall in the winter is not assumed, then it is worth worrying about a more reliable protection and be sure to remove the vine from the trellis.
Disease and pest resistance
The variety is considered resistant to diseases and pests. The threat of a common fungal disease of mildew and mites is minimal. But powdery mildew can harm the plant, so you should take preventive measures already in early spring.
In order for the grapes to be resistant to this ailment, it must be well cut and ensure maximum ventilation of the bush. Wasps strike berries rarely enough; the variety is not particularly attractive for these pests.
Did you know? Regular consumption of grape berries favorably affects the brain. This is due to the fact that they contain a large amount of glucose and fructose, which are indispensable in this process.
Basic rules of fit and care
It is best for planting loose soil. If the land in your area is clay, you should add sand or crushed bricks to the landing pits, and add a little organic matter, humus or manure to the sandy soil.
Planting pits should be wide and deep, with a diameter of 90-110 cm and a depth of 60-80 cm. Very good, if you can prepare a place for a plant for spring planting in the fall, if you plan to plant it in the fall, you should start the preparation in 2 months. The sooner you begin to make feeding in planting pits, the better and faster take long-awaited grapes. Most often, a mixture of organic matter, superphosphate and garden soil is placed on the bottom of the landing pit.
The amount of fertilizer depends on the quality of the soil at the site, most often taking 6-9 kg of humus, manure or compost and 0.2-0.9 kg of superphosphate. Grapes are well accepted both when planting cuttings, and when grafting.
Due care should be taken to care for the plant. Like any other grape, the long-awaited needs regular pruning. Every spring or autumn, the shrub is pruned in such a way that no more than 10 holes are left on it, that is, a long pruning is done.
Winegrowers recommend feeding the plant with wood ash in spring, this will help the shrub to take root better, and during the procedure in summertime will provide maximum sugar content of fruits.
Important! Despite the relative unpretentiousness of this grape, you should not neglect the preventive spraying.
Features of growing varieties
The distinctive features of the long-awaited grape include the fact that it is very good cutting and perfectly combined with a variety of rootstocks.
The flowers are bisexual plants, so the process of pollination is not a problem. Also, do not be afraid of pea, the appearance of too small berries in clusters.
The long-awaited grapes are most often grown to feast on fresh, juicy berries of amber have amazing taste qualities. Due to the high sugar content you can make a good homemade wine.
