Pickled tomatoes with carrot tops: a simple and tasty recipe

Probably, there are practically no such families that do not stock up on a variety of preservation for the winter, because few people like to eat, for example, salted tomatoes from a can. Moreover, each hostess has a special recipe for their preparation. One of the interesting options for canning are tomatoes with carrot leaves. The recipe is simple, but incredibly delicious!

Tastes and characteristics of the workpiece

Carrot tops not only give the preservation some decorativeness, it also gives it a rather interesting taste and aroma, and the marinade itself makes it really unusual. Tomatoes are sweet, and on the brine from under them, some skilled housewives even bake bread and gingerbread. It is noteworthy that some special spices are not needed here, their role is directly performed by tops.

  • tomatoes - about 30 pcs. (small);
  • carrot tops - several bunches;
  • sugar - 4 tbsp. l .;
  • salt - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • Table vinegar (6%) - 70 ml (if you take 9%, then 50-60 ml will suffice);
  • boiling water.

For this preparation a lot of inventory is not necessary. The most important thing is glass jars. The second important inventory is iron lids for closing.

Cooking process

To pickle tomatoes is a snap:

  • At the bottom of the cans lay out a pair of branches tops. Above - pieces of 5 tomatoes.
  • Then - again the tops, then - the tomatoes. So to the neck of the banks, on top of the tops.
  • Boil water and pour boiling water into fruit jars.
  • Cover and leave for 15-20 minutes.

How to store the workpiece

Preservation is best stored in the basement or cellar, but it can be in the apartment, for example, in the closet. The main thing is that the place was dark and cool. It is recommended to twist for at least a month, and preferably three, since it takes time for the tomatoes to soak and have full flavor.

If you see the first signs of deterioration of conservation, immediately put the entire contents of the cans into a separate container, wash it in a 2-3% solution of salt (20-30 g per 1 l of water) and again fold it into clean sterilized jars.
