According to the General Directorate of the Consumer Service, such measures are necessary in order to destroy the progression of ASF in Ukraine. 
According to the service, the first wild boar that was infected with ASF was found in the village of Bolshaya Lepetiha, in the Kherson region. After that, all the wild boars of the forest area were destroyed.
In addition, local jaegers check the forest daily for the detection of animal carcasses that have died from ASF. To date, no such carcasses have been identified.
