"Garden for a billionaire": Crocus Group has created an environmentally friendly garden in the Moscow region

Two weeks ago, representatives of the Crocus Group reported that they intended to open a new environmentally friendly complex for growing apples.

About 200 million rubles were invested in the idea, and the first batch of apple saplings and other crops was purchased back in 2007. Trees and saplings were grown in nurseries in the Kaluga and Vladimir regions and were specially developed for the garden complex. The growing area is 31 hectares. Of these, 16 hectares fall on apple trees, 10 hectares on pears, 2 hectares on blueberries. It is also planned to grow plum, raspberry and blackberry in the organic garden. According to the creators, no pesticides and nitrotes will be used for breeding. According to the chairman of the Union of Organic Farming Sergey Korshunov, in seven years the growth of the market for organic products will be visible.

The first harvest of organic fruits - 3.2 tons of apples and 0.5 tons of pears - was collected last year. Crocus Group is one of the largest largest real estate development companies in Russia, it began work in 1989. It is engaged in various business activities. Recall that the owner of a large agricultural holding is Araz Agalarov, a Russian and Azerbaijani entrepreneur, who is in 53rd place in the Forbes list.
