According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, in 2018 in the Stavropol region a harvest of carrots was obtained, which amounted to 16.9 thousand tons. The average crop yield in this case - more than 260 kg / ha. 73% of the collected carrots were grown on the lands of agricultural enterprises, and 27% - in farms.

The most large-scale carrot plantations of the Stavropol Territory are located on the territory of the Krasnogvardeysky municipal district and the Ipatovsky urban district - 4.2 thousand tons each, which is 24.8% of the total carrot production of the region. Slightly less vegetable in the Shpakovsky municipal district - 1.7 thousand tons or 10%, said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Andrei Oleynikov.
