Russia plans to provide state support to the agro-industrial complex

The Russian government should develop a comprehensive solution to support the production and export of agricultural products in the medium term, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the country requires integrated solutions that will allow Russian producers to increase production and exports of agricultural products, as well as provide them with all the necessary infrastructure and potential information. In addition, government support should begin for farmers in the medium term. At the same time, Vladimir Putin called agricultural exports one of the most promising areas of Russian foreign trade.

The president also said that in 2015, income from exports of Russian agro-industrial goods exceeded 16.2 billion dollars, and in 2016 this figure reached almost 17 billion dollars, which exceeds the export of weapons from Russia, the income from which amounted to only 14.5 billion dollars .
