Now, the law obliges all farmers to clean fertilizer containers, to poison it for environmentally friendly processing. If the farmer does not follow this rule, he faces a fine of 200 to 2,000 yuan, in dollars from 29 to 290.
Actions with discharge of sewage, heavy metals and slag into the soil will be subject to more severe punishment. The amount of the fine will then be up to 2 million yuan, which is 291,000 in dollar equivalent. The same amount of fine will be valid if the farmer or agricultural producer uses pesticides when growing.
