Today, Ukraine takes the place of one of the largest exporters of sunflower oil. According to the association "Ukroliyaprom", in 2016, Ukraine managed to export 4,800,000 tons of products, this 23% more than in 2015 and an absolute record for the country. Total exports made more profit than the previous year (48 billion dollars. Compared with 4.2 billion dollars).
Despite all forecasts, the volume of production of unrefined sunflower oil in Ukraine in 2016 amounted to 4,400,000 tons. According to the State Statistics Service, the increase was 20.2% compared with the previous year. To compare: in December, 557 thousand tons of sunflower oil were produced, which is 5.3% more than in the previous month, and 47.8% more than in December 2015.
