Fungicide "Kvadris": instructions for use of the drug

It is very difficult to get a good harvest without the use of effective fungicidal preparations aimed not only at combating diseases, but also preventing their appearance. It is such an indispensable tool and is "Kvadris" - a fungicide, instructions for use of which we describe in the article below.

Fungicide "Kvadris": description and purpose

The described fungicide belongs to the group of preparations of strobilurins, which are contact preparations and are distinguished by a long period of exposure. The Quadris fungicide itself is used not only to treat fungal diseases, but also to prevent their manifestation. Another important property of Quadrice is the ability to exert a detrimental effect on the spores of major fungal diseases.

Did you know? In the process of using Quadrice for prophylactic purposes, it is noted that it can also stimulate and improve the quality of plant growth.
Solutions based on the drug "Kvadris" are used for spraying vegetable crops, both closed and open type. These include:

  • tomatoes;
  • cucumbers;
  • grapes;
  • bow;
  • cabbage;
  • peas;
  • potatoes;
  • sports lawns.
Designed "Kvadris" to combat fungal diseases of garden plants, among which are the most common powdery mildew, late blight, oidium, mildew, rhizoctoniosis, silver scab.

The mechanism of action and the active substance "Quadris"

The widespread use of the fungicide "Kvadris" is largely due to its simple, but at the same time very effective mechanism of action on the fungus of common garden diseases. The fact is that Its main active ingredient is azoxystrobin at a concentration of 250g / l. When hit on the affected areas of the plant, this substance is able to stop the flow of air to the spores of fungi. Due to this, the latter gradually stop their reproduction and die off.

It is noteworthy that when Quadris is processing, the death of intra leaf pathogens on the leaves of affected plants occurs within 1 hour. However, despite such a rapid impact on the disease, it is recommended to use "Kvadris" only in the morning and evening hours, when the plants are still not exposed to direct sunlight, which can lead to the evaporation of the drug. It is very important that when processing "Kvadris" it is not washed away by rain, since the spraying will have to be repeated. When all the necessary processing conditions are fulfilled, the effect of the drug effect lasts for 2-3 weeks.

Important! This fungicide is recommended for use with other systemic drugs, especially since the compatibility of "Quadris" is quite high. It can be used with other fungicidal agents, such as Topaz, and with insecticides, such as Actellic, Aktara, and Karate. But it is better not to combine the spraying with Quadris with herbicides, since such preparations have different terms of application.

Instructions for use of the fungicide "Kvadris" for different plants

"Kvadris" fungicide is used to process a variety of plants, and its instructions for use are significantly different from the type of plant:

  1. The drug "Kvadris" for grapes is used to prevent and combat mildew and oidium. For this purpose, grape bushes are sprayed with a 0.06% solution, using about 1000 liters of the solution obtained per 1 ha of area. Treatments are recommended to be carried out 4 times during the growing season of the vine - before flowering, after flowering, during the appearance of the green berry and just before the berries start ripening. It should only be noted that "Kvadris" is used for grapes only in combination with other fungicides, and before and after using it is important to spray the plant and other drugs that have a pathogen-specific mechanism that distinguishes them from strobilurins.
  2. When processing potatoes, "Quadris" is used to combat rhizoctoniosis and silver scab of tubers. To obtain a positive result during planting potato tubers, the soil is sprayed. It is recommended to do this with a solution of "Quadris" in a concentration of 0.03% per liter of water. The flow rate of working fluid per 1 hectare area should not exceed 200 liters.
  3. Quadrice is also used to process onions, but only if the latter is not grown for the purpose of producing a green feather. It helps the drug to prevent the appearance of peronospora onions, for which it is sprayed with a solution in a concentration of 0.08-0.1% per 1 liter of water. The first prophylactic spraying is recommended to be carried out already with the appearance of the first green feathers and to repeat the treatment with an interval of 14 days. On 1 hectare area is used no more than 400 liters of fluid.
  4. Cucumbers can also be sprayed with Quadris, because with its use it is possible to avoid the development of not only peronosporosis, but also powdery mildew. However, spraying cucumbers "Quadris" is recommended only in combination with other fungicides. As for the concentration of the solution for the treatment of cucumbers, it should not exceed 0.06%, and the consumption per 1 ha of area can vary from 800 to 1000 liters. Treatments are carried out before flowering and after. The interval between them should be 14-16 days. It is very important to plant another crop at this place next year.
  5. "Kvadris" fungicide is used for tomatoes, regardless of the type of planting - open or protected. In both cases, the drug helps to fight Alternaria, blight and powdery mildew. In case of protected cultivation of tomatoes, the solution for spraying is used in a concentration of from 0.08 to 0.1%, and when grown in open ground, from 0.04 to 0.06%. Spraying can be carried out during the entire growing season with an interval of 2 weeks. Consumption per 1 ha can vary from 600 to 800 l.
  6. When treating sports lawn "Quadris" drug helps to fight and prevent fusarium and gelmintosporioznye spot on the grass. For the treatment of grass, the concentration of the drug in 0.12% is used, and the total consumption is no more than 40 liters of working fluid per 1 ha. The first treatment is carried out in early spring at the time of grass regrowth, and all subsequent ones - with a 20-day interval. It is very important that after each spraying the athletes do not step on the lawn for 3 days.
Important! Almost all fungal diseases with regular use of "Quadris" can adapt to its effect by mutation. In order to prevent this, the described fungicide is important to use either simultaneously with other drugs, or to alternate its use with fungicides of a different effect on the pathogen.

Benefits of using Quadrice

The main advantage of the use of "Quadris" is the fact that it has a fundamentally new mechanism of influence on the most common diseases of cucumbers, tomatoes and grapes. Moreover, its high efficiency and safety for plants is recognized even internationally.

Other positive features of this drug include:

  • a long process of exposure to plants;
  • ability to prevent the germination of spores of pathogens;
  • the ability to enhance crop yields, as well as improve leaf photosynthesis;
  • improving the quality of the products;
  • increasing the profitability of growing garden crops.
Did you know? The toxicity of the Quadrice depends largely on the type of plant. So, some under its influence can show only an improvement in the results of growth, while others do not tolerate treatments at all with the described preparation. In particular, the use of Quadrice for processing Macintosh varieties of apples is strictly prohibited.

Toxicity and storage conditions

Despite the high toxicity of the antifungal drug, it is not fatal to living organisms. If ingestion of a small amount of "Kvardis" in the human body, it can cause slight dizziness and nausea, which can be handled with an emergency gastric lavage. For this reason, during the processing of the garden "Quadris" is recommended to wear protective clothing, as well as to avoid contact with plants of domestic animals.

As for the safe storage of Quadrice, the drug retains its properties for no more than 3 years. At the same time, it should always be in a dark place and at a temperature from -5 С to +35 С. Strictly prohibited storage in close proximity to food and liquids. If you do not adhere to storage conditions, the drug may lose its quality.

We hope that the description of the drug "Kvadris" and instructions for use will help you improve yields in your garden. However, when using this fungicide, remember that it is a toxic agent and, if improperly observed, can harm plants.
