5 types of dacha therapy or how to leave all the anxiety at the gate?

For many, summer holiday is more interesting and useful even than the resort. After all, at the resort you are conditionally located in a foreign space, and at your own home you feel much more comfortable.

Moreover, there are ways that allow you to make (and make) from your own garden a creative and healing space. Thanks to this you can really relax and recover, get rid of stress. Now we will consider some options for country activities that are advised by psychologists and other specialists.

Art Therapy

Creativity helps and develops, and there is a huge expanse for creativity at one’s own summer house.

After all, before you and different plants and materials and a lot of space.

How exactly do you choose to create, but the more diverse your methods, the more interesting.

Someone prefers to plant flowers and create different compositions, others make garden paths. Options really mass. Take such activities that are for you the most pleasant and exciting.

Remember, every item can be updated and for example your old wardrobe, which you were going to throw out, can be a great addition to your home or landscape in the country. It is only necessary to attach a little imagination and decorative elements. Similar applies to many other items.

Color therapy

Here you should continue the creative trend, but act more skillfully and thoughtfully. You need to understand what kind of mood you want to get from the garden, what emotions. Different colors are used for this.

After all, you paid attention to the characteristic colors for fast food chains - red, orange and the like, they encourage appetite, activity. In hospitals and similar institutions, the walls are usually blue or green - these colors soothe.

In this way, you can create a different mood through the use of colors. By the way, (now there will be a funny tautology) colors of colors and can become for this the main tool. It should simply plant different plants in different parts of the garden and form flower beds of different colors.

Although, of course, do not neglect the decorative elements:

  • small architectural forms;
  • garden lighting;
  • colors of various designs;
  • garden paths;
  • landscape decoration.

These elements are also able to create color perception in space.

If you have grass and lawn, then the main color will certainly be green, but do not worry, this color is considered to be neutral, that is, in fact, it acts as a canvas on which you can create.

For example, if you want to have something soothing, then such plants as: bells and cornflowers, flax, aconites, delphinium will be useful. They have blue hues and create a harmonious and peaceful mood.

To add activity, use red plants: red roses, burgundy phlox and dahlia, cherry shade peonies.

Of course, for the most part, many mixed flowers are used in the gardens, but sometimes it is interesting to have monochrome parts of the garden. It is especially interesting to observe how the colors and color perception change throughout the day or in different weather.

Tactile sensations

As a rule, these sensations are practically ignored, but they are very significant. Especially if you want to relax and rest.

Take a simple example. In the city you always walk in shoes and almost always on a flat surface. Although initially the foot is much more useful to walk along irregularities, various nerve cells are involved, the brain and perception work better.

After all (on a historical scale) relatively recently, people walked only on uneven surfaces and could even read with their feet significant information from the landscape. Until now, people have a predisposition for this.

Therefore, it is so nice to walk barefoot on the grass, such vigor appears after such walks. If you want to diversify sensations, make a path of small pebbles or add a little sandy landscape. Look at what you enjoy walking and lying, what to touch.

Accordingly, make out the garden based on the tactile component. Even garden furniture choose on this principle. After all, someone is more comfortable with rattan furniture, while for others the best option is a comfortable hammock.

Aromatherapy

Perhaps you yourself know how smells determine perception and mood and how they can help you relax or concentrate. For example, it is so nice to take a bath with lavender and get rid of stress and worries.

The garden provides great opportunities to enjoy the many natural smells. Virtually every plant is more or less useful and healing. And if you know what smell to use, then the garden becomes a real magic pharmacy.

For example, there are many plants that purify the air and even destroy bacteria. These plants are literally healing.:

  • various conifers;
  • birch and elderberry;
  • hyssop;
  • lavender and lovage;
  • Mellis and mint;
  • sage.

Such plants and herbs can be planted throughout the garden, in particular, in recreation areas and paths, in order to more often enjoy these healing smells.

Let's advise some more plants: sweet peas and tobacco, chubushnik, roses, reseda, mattiola. Staying in the garden near these flowering plants can be an excellent alternative to real aromatherapy.

Garden music

In the city space noise pollution is a very significant problem. The sounds of businesses, cars and similar noises prevail, and the natural sounds of nature are rare and almost unheard of. Therefore, my own garden is so popular with the opportunity to listen to the sound of wind in the branches, the sounds of all sorts of birds, titmouses and the like.

In order to reduce the sounds of the road (if there is a road nearby) use massive hedges from different loaches. They perfectly absorb sounds and, by the way, various birds often settle there, who will be able to please you with their own singing. If you want more birds in the garden, install feeders and drinkers, plant plants with berries.

In addition, use a variety of bells for the garden and ponds, which give an additional pleasant sound background. Form a sound space in your own garden.
