Ukrainian agricultural producers should pay more attention to the markets of the Gulf countries, namely Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The World Bank Group's project "Reforming the Investment Climate in Ukraine" starts a program to train Ukrainian beef producers before the European market opens. The program will be implemented with the support of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (State Food Safety Service) and with the participation of the Council on Food Export (UFEB) and the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business Association (ACAB).

This was announced by the chairman of the agency Yarema Kuznetsov during a press conference on February 24. "In 2016, the share of farm fish in the global catch was 52%, and in Ukraine only 25%.

On February 22, Belarus temporarily restricted the import of pork from the Dnipropetrovsk region in connection with the registration there of animal diseases African swine fever (ASF). According to the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs in Belarus, temporary restrictions are imposed on the import of live pigs from this region of Ukraine, pork and its products, leather, horn and intestinal raw materials, stubble, meat from wild boars, hunting trophies derived from susceptible species animals.

Ukrainian farmers began spring field work due to favorable weather conditions. As of February 27, ten regions of Ukraine began to fertilize winter crops, and such work has already been implemented on 579 thousand hectares, or 8% of the forecast. In addition, farmers began to fertilize winter rape on an area of ​​96 thousand hectares (11% of the forecast), announced the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
