Russia and Argentina joined the fish

Visiting Buenos Aires on an official visit, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an agreement with his Argentinian counterpart on the joint work of both countries in the development of the fisheries of Argentina and the Russian Federation.

The meeting was held as part of the G20 summit. According to the Russian ambassador in Argentina, the two countries worked on the "fish" agreement a long time ago:

“We are talking about the development of aquaculture and the modernization of fisheries, - said Dmitry Feoktistov. - The Russian side agreed on the nuances of this project at the beginning of autumn”.

The contract for joint work involves improvements in the processes of fisheries management, as well as in matters of conservation and rational use of available marine and river resources.

“Within the framework of the project, we intend to eliminate illegal fishing, as well as share useful information on achievements with Argentina,” the ambassador said. “We will also conduct joint development in the aquaculture industry and are planning to start the first research in the near future!”
